the lost
Stars in the sky,
They never lie
The moon of the night,
Never shined so bright.
The wind creates an aura of serendipity,
The young lad in his chair is mislaid somewhere,
in his own melancholy.
His ears are his hearers,
And his words are barers.
If the sky an audience and the world a stage,
then who am I to leverage?
His monotonic expressions,
Draws the curtains over all his manifestations.
The emptiness of the sky,
Is like the same old lie,
"Smile atleast.., didn't you try?."
Eyes that once were stars,
And the mind which was magic,
All that's left are the scars,
And every breath of his is now a tragic.
A beat that he hummed is now far lost,
He is lamenting out there in the frost.
The winter has arrived earlier this season,
And his summer has left him without any plausible reason.
Trying to rewrite his soliloquy,
He forgot about the world and me.
Disgraced, disappointed and disappeared in the tides of grief,
Hoping that someday his plant would bear a flower and a leaf.
He even made the noble sacrifice,
All to know that it won't suffice.
Thoughts,Thoughts,Thoughts are what falling apart,
Tearing his soul part by part.
He thinks,"The world is just another helminth,
How, Where and Why should I find myself in this labyrinth?"
The bonfire ain't keeping him warm,
His soul is somewhere lost in a subconcoius storm.
The sky for him once was an empty canvas,
Now it's just a splash of black which he no more loves.
"I dreamed, aimed, planned, worked, tried, fought and lost.
Should I take another shot?".
These words aren't his or mine,
they are the ones which make the pedestrian's rhyme.
Still he stares in the sky,
Yearns for a world where he'd gloriously fly.
Something is always going on somewhere,
Yet he fails to find a place anywhere.
Here I sit with my cigarette and wine,
Living in a world whose soul ain't his or mine.
